FULL NAME, Willow Adelaide AveryNICKNAMES, Will or Avery
BRITHDAY, April 21st, 1960
HEIGHT, 5’4”
HOMETOWN, Willow was born in Liverpool, but when she was three her aunt was killed in a mugging just down the block from where she lived. Her parents decided to relocate to a farm in the middle of nowhere in an attempt to keep her and her two older brothers safe from city dangers. She herself has no memory of Liverpool, however she loves hearing the stories told by her parents and brothers about the fun they had and the mischief they got into while they lived there. She has always imagined herself back in a big city when she finally graduates from Hogwarts.
HOUSE, Hufflepuff
BLOOD, Half-Blood
THE CHARACTER

BOGGART, For Will, Boggarts appear as Death Eaters. When she was younger, Boggarts were trivial things, namely snakes – she’s always had an irrational fear of snakes – but the last time she cast a Boggart out of her unused barn attic, it had taken on an unfamiliar and quite terrifying form. She’d been hearing many rumors about evil rising its ugly head, and being a logically thinking human being, she was immediately both fascinated and horrified by the images she’d seen. Of course, it’s been quite some time since she’s heard any stories or even faced any Boggarts to remind her about what was possibly out there, just waiting for the right moment to strike.
AMORTENIA, Willow has always found the smell of burning wood to be one intoxicating. She figured it was because her parents had a fire place when they still lived in Liverpool. They always had a fire going. To her, her love of the smell was just out of a deep longing for her old, forgotten home. She’s particularly obsessed with it.
FAVORITE MEMORY, Willow’s favorite memory is one from nine years ago. She was a mere two years old, but she was still just as tough as any kid on the block, thanks to her mischievous brothers. The two of them had been running away from her, doing all sorts of big-kid stuff instead of playing with her. Naturally, as a curious little seven year old, she followed them. They made a deal. If she could climb the giant willow tree growing in their backyard, she could hang out with them. Will’s brothers new the tree was dying, they knew its branches were too weak to hold even the petite girl. She did not. And she climbed the tree. She climbed all the way to the top while her brothers stared in awe. Her magic had kicked in at last, and she had actually used a nonverbal levitation charm to propel herself to the top without even realizing it. Getting down was much harder and much more painful, but either way, that day became her favorite, because that was the day that she proved to her brothers that she was just as tough as they were.
WORST MEMORY, The worst memory Willow had ever experienced had to be when blew up her bedroom, singing off all her hair in the process. She was still new to the whole wizarding world, and while she was home for Christmas break in her second year, she stole her brother’s third year potion book and decided to attempt one of the more complicated potions. Naturally, she wanted to learn, to outdo her brothers, even though they were older and far more advanced than her. She ended up exploding her bedroom and losing all of her hair. Quite a nasty experience for a twelve year old girl. Of course, when she went back to school, she was positively mortified with her half-inch-long hair and lack of eyebrows. That was her worst memory ever.
BIGEST MISTAKE, Willow’s biggest mistake was one that she considered unforgivable at the time and still flinches over when people mention it. It all started when she was thirteen, and quite frankly depressed. Her boyfriend had broken up with her. But, it seemed like so much more than just that at the time. It was her first boyfriend and also the first person she fell in love with. Of course, at that age, everyone thinks they’re going to find their true love and live happily ever after. Or at least most teenage girls hope for that. And Will was no exception. First, she started cutting herself. When that wasn’t enough anymore, when she was so tired of life she felt nauseas, she tried killing herself. Only her brothers know, because they caught her while she was trying to figure out how to take the locks off of their father’s shotgun. No one mentioned it to their parents, and Willow hopes to keep it that way. Her brothers help her stay grounded, and she’s only slipper back into her old habits once before, when she was in her fifth year, right before her O.W.L.s in fifth year.
COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT, Willow could absolutely not live without her two brothers. They are her life, her hold on reality. She truly has no idea what she would do without them. In fact, she’s fairly sure she would be dead if it weren’t for them. Sure, they could be annoying at times – most of the time, actually. But, they are still the most important people in her life.
SNOG, MARRY, AVOID
- - - - -
SNOG, Who would I snog? That’s a bit personal in my opinion….but, to be honest; I don’t think I would simply plant a fat one on anyone. Especially not anyone I know. I’ve met a lot of decent boys in my years, but none that I actually like in that sort of way. I’m simply waiting for the right guy. Someone funny. That’s all that really matters to me. I don’t care if they are the bravest or smartest or even the most handsome boy in the universe! I am looking for someone that can make me laugh in any situation. Of course, after I get to know this jokester a bit, I’ll be able to properly decide if I truly want to snog him or not. Like I said before, I’m not going to go around kissing random guys, no matter how funny. For all I know, the person could be a pervert!
MARRY, I think that I would be most compatible with someone funny, like I mentioned before. I can be serious, but sometimes serious is boring. We all need an escape sometimes, and isn’t that what jokes are for? Whoever I marry, I know I need to be comfortable and happy with them; those are two of the most important necessities for a working relationship. Not to mention honesty! I could not stand to be with anyone that would constantly lie to me. Maybe I should stop listing things, before the list becomes too long and no one in the nervous can fill my description. After all, we must be real with ourselves, there’s no perfect guy out there, just a guy that’s not unbearably horrid.
AVOID, Ugh! The list of people I’d like to avoid is even longer than the one of people I like! Slytherins for starters. They’re such sneaky, slimy little buggers. And they’re all the same! It’s always, “I’m better than you this” and “I’m better than you that”. It gets annoying. I haven’t known any Slytherins personally, but on the outside, they are just dreadful. Oh, listen to me, I’m sounding just like them! Stereotyping people. I promised myself a long time ago that if a Slytherin were to show any sort of compassion whatsoever, I would give them the benefit of the doubt. So far, no such person has come along.
A VIEW ON THE CHARACTER
- - - - -
WILLOW ADELAIDE AVERY IN THE EYES OF HER FATHER, As a father, I’m quite proud of all my children. As a muggle, I’m positively fascinated by their abilities. I married Mrs. Avery when I was just nineteen – I hadn’t known she was such a special woman at the time. Yet, I could never have been happier with anyone in my life. Especially when we had our three children, two strong boys and one beautiful girl. My little Willow. She wasn’t my favorite child, of course. As a parent, I am bound to never play favorites. But, she was always the one who was most…excitable, shall we say? You could always see the light in her eyes, the anticipation. She was thrilled to simply be alive, and so overjoyed to explore the world. I love her for that curiosity and I admire her for trying to live her life while she still can. She’s grown up so much in such a little amount of time, but she’ll always be my little girl.- - - - -
